I will use my role as a Judge to promote and support Criminal Justice Reform in the Orleans Parish Criminal District Court. Further, I will support the abolishment of the Habitual Offender Bill (“Multiple Bill”) for First–Time Non-Violent Offenders and Non-Violent Offenders.

First-Time Non-Violent Offender and Non-Violent Offender Programs

I will have a (1) Drug Court, (2) Mental Health Court, (3) Homeless/Veterans Court and (4) Participate in the Re-Entry Program in Section G for all First-Time Non-Violent Offenders and Non-Violent Offenders seeking rehabilitation and assistance re-entering the community as a productive citizen.

Criminal Justice Rights Advocate

Defendants will have their day in court. The victims of crime, witnesses, jurors and the general public who engage in the Criminal District Court in Section G will be treated with respect and dignity.  As your Judge, I will work tirelessly and efficiently to move cases from arraignment to resolution, expeditiously.
